Promotional material for “Explore the Guia Circuit” Bus Tour

The Macao Grand Prix Museum (the “Museum”) will present a range of festive activities during Chinese New Year including the “Explore the Guia Circuit” Bus Tour, “Year of the Rabbit Chinese New Year Promotion” at the souvenir shop, as well as the guessing game which spotlights the new exhibits to debut soon – wax figures of motor racers. The activities will enrich the experience of local and visiting museumgoers this Chinese New Year.

Enjoy the circuit scenery on bus tour

The Museum will run the “Explore the Guia Circuit” Bus Tour at 12:00, 14:30 and 17:00 daily between 22 – 28 January (1st – 7th days of Chinese New Year) (the Museum will also open on Tuesday, 24 January). Museum visitors are invited to enjoy the free bus tour around the Guia Circuit. To enhance participants’ experience, a local tour guide will be along to introduce the characteristics of the racing circuit and deepen their understanding of this prestigious event. Interested individuals can sign up for the bus tour at the Museum with their admission tickets for the day. Limited vacancies are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Chinese New Year special offer at souvenir shop

From today until 30 January, the museum ticket office will distribute 10% discount coupons to museum visitors for purchase at the souvenir shop. To celebrate Chinese New Year, the souvenir shop will also launch the “Year of the Rabbit Chinese New Year Promotion”. Some of the commodities are sold with 10% or 50% off.

Moreover, each admission ticket to the Museum will come with one beverage coupon for use at the themed café, available in limited quantity.

Guess the identity of racer wax figures

This year will mark the 70th anniversary of the Macau Grand Prix. To widen the collection of exhibits, Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and Madame Tussauds Hong Kong will jointly debut eight wax figures of motor racers, bringing these lively masterpieces to the Museum. To cast the spotlight upon this upcoming debut, the Museum will first display the exhibits that come with the eight racer wax figures between 22 January and 28 February. The game “Racer Wax Figures: “Guess Who?”’ will also be held for visitors to guess the identity of these eight wax figures during their museum visits. Museum visitors who make the right guess of all the eight motor racers can join the lucky draw for the chance to win prizes. The results of the lucky draw will be unveiled at the inauguration of the wax figures.

MGTO has been dedicated to promotion and preservation of the motorsport culture of the Macau Grand Prix. In 2021, the Macao Grand Prix Museum was reopened in a brand-new outlook upon completion as an expansion project, followed by an addition of more multimedia interactive features, racing scenario display, motorsport exhibits as well as barrier-free facilities, among other highlights. Residents and visitors are offered an educational fun experience at the Museum, which manifests the city’s diverse offer of “tourism +” and enhances its charm as a travel destination.

The Macao Grand Prix Museum is open from 10:00 – 18:00 daily and next Tuesday (24 January). For ticketing and the latest information of the Museum, please visit the official website:mgpm.macaotourism.gov.mo/en or dial Tel: (853) 8593 0515 or (853) 8593 0516.
