The tropical depression over the central part of the South China Sea is expected to further develop in the next few days and will move north-northwest, towards the area between the western coast of Guangdong and Hainan Island. According to the latest track forecast, it will pass over 300 km southwest of Macao on the 22nd(Monday). The SMG will consider to issue higher tropical cyclone warning signals, depending on the latest track and intensity changes of the tropical depression. Meanwhile, another tropical depression is developing over the sea east of the Philippines, and it is expected to move towards Taiwan in the middle of next week.
Due to the influence of the tropical depression over the central part of the South China Sea, the weather in Macao will become windy with showers in the next few days, and there will be occasional squally thunderstorms. Therefore, flooding may occur in low-lying areas due to heavy rain.

The public is advised to stay tuned with the latest weather information and take necessary precautions against strong winds and flooding.
