The reception includedan exchange session, accompanied byMacao’stypical delicacies.
During the three days of ITB Berlin,MGTO showcasedtotrade and consumers the destination’sdiverse“tourism +” offerings with a booth under the theme “Experience Macao”. Visitorsto the boothcouldenjoy aMacaoVRtour, along with experiencingthe destination’seast-meets-west singularitywithguzhengperformanceandworkshopsof Chinese knot as well asPortuguese decoupage bag.One of Macao’s integrated resort enterprisesalsopromotedits attractions at the booth.In addition, largeMacaotourismadvertisementsgreetedvisitors atthebuilding entranceofthe travel trade show.

Promotional efforts to drive more visitor flowsfromEurope
MGTOisreinforcingin 2025thepromotionalinitiativestargeting Europeto attract more visitors fromlong-haul markets.Since the beginning of the year,destination marketing and special hotel offers are being disseminatedintargetedcountriesvia the booking platformsfor operators Hotelbeds,Bedsonline,and Travelport,as well as the online travel agency for consumerseDreamsODIGEO, among other channels, to educatetheEuropean travel trade about thedestination’stourism products,boost trip sales,and encourage longer stays in Macao.
Meanwhile, MGTOis preparing to welcomein AprilEuropean travel trade and media for the 13th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo. MGTO will also hostthis yeartwo majorEuropeantravel trade eventsin Juneand in December,respectively,theEuropeanTravel Agents' and Tour Operators' Associations2025 Macao Summitand the50thPortuguese Association of Travel and Tourism AgenciesCongress,among other activities, to continue to help tap into the European market, as part of the efforts to increase international visitor source markets and diversify the economy.
