Second China and Portuguese-speaking Countries Economic Cooperation Forum


The second China and Portuguese-speaking Countries Economic Cooperation Forum (Macao) will be held in Macao on 25-26 September 2006. Ministerial-level official from both China and Portuguese-speaking countries, entrepreneurs and business organisations will participate in the forum. Under the theme of "Strengthen Cooperation, Common Development", there will be a retrospective analysis of the implementation of the “Action Plan for Economic and Trade Cooperation”, which was approved in the first Ministerial Conference. Moreover, a string of objectives is expected to be set for the next three years (2007-2009). The First China and Portuguese-speaking Countries Economic Cooperation Forum (Macao) was held in Macao in October 2003. The forum, which is held every three years, promotes trade between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries by having Macao as a commercial platform.
