US Treasury Deputy Assistant Secretary Daniel Glaser visits Macao


(Macao – 19 January 2006) US Treasury Deputy Assistant Secretary for Terrorist Financing and Financial Crimes, Mr Daniel Glaser, today visited the Macao Special Administrative Region. During his brief visit, he met separately with the Secretary for Administration and Justice, Ms Florinda Chan, the Secretary for Economy and Finance, Mr Francis Tam Pak Yuen and the Chairman of the Monetary Authority of Macao, Mr. Anselmo Teng Lin Seng. Mr Glaser was briefed on the latest developments of Macao SAR and the progress of anti-money laundering legislation: proposed legislation has been submitted to the Legislative Assembly and discussion was in progress. Mr Daniel Glaser was also met by the Chief Executive, Mr Edmund Ho Hau Wah.
