“Tips on Property Transaction” and “Tenancy Law” Leaflets by Legal Affair Bureau

With the growth of the property market in Macau, citizens invest more and more money in real estate and house rental market from the last few years. But, do they really know all the procedures of property transaction and house rental? Where can they ask for help if they get any problems? Recently, Legal Affairs has issued two leaflets which are “Tips on Property Transaction” and “Tenancy Law” to assist citizens in understanding more about the regulations of property transaction and house rental. In these two leaflets, they show the procedures of property transaction and give some useful hints by easy words and charts. Besides, they also explain the potential risks of house rental. For example, what would happen if tenants don’t pay and do they need to renew the contract after expiration and who is in charge of house maintenance and so on? For the purpose of helping foreigners to understand more about the relative laws of property transaction and house rental, we not only have Chinese version of those two leaflets, we also have Portuguese and English version of them. Citizens can get leaflets from all Legal Information Stands of Legal Affairs Bureau or visit our website on www.dsaj.gov.mo to download it.
