The Chief Executive, Mr Edmund Ho Hau Wah, is in Beijing to attend tomorrow’s opening of the First Plenary Session of the Eleventh National People's Congress. Speaking to the press before his noon departure, Mr Ho said he hoped the public would express their opinion on the proposed revision of the three electoral laws during the public consultation exercise launched by the Government. On arrival in Beijing, Mr Ho met member of the Politburo of the 17th CPC Central Committee and the Secretary of the Guangdong CPC Provincial Committee, Mr Wang Yang, when they exchanged views on topics of mutually interests. Also present in this meeting were the Governor of Guangdong, Mr Huang Huahua; Macao’s Secretary for Economy and Finance, Mr Francis Tam Pak Yuen; the Chief-of-Office of the Office of the Chief Executive, Mr Ho Veng On; the Director of the Government Information Bureau, Mr Victor Chan Chi Ping, and the Director of the Office of the Macao Special Administrative Region in Beijing, Mr Ng Pak Meng. The Secretary for Administration and Justice, Ms Florinda Chan, is acting Chief Executive during Mr Ho’s absence.
