Lau Si Io: Macao enhances environmental-cooperations with neighbouring regions

By establishing the Environmental Protection Bureau in the future, Macao would enhance the regional cooperation of the Pan Pearl River Delta Region as well as the Greater Pearl River Delta, said the Secretary for Transport and Public Works, Mr Lau Si Io. Speaking at the luncheon of the 2009 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum & Exhibition (2009 MIECF), Mr Lau said environmental protection is a critical issue that demanded attention nowadays. Meanwhile, Macao would enhance regional cooperation with the Pan Pearl River Delta Region and the Greater Pearl River Delta, he said. Mr Lau also said that the Macao Government would continue to put effort in promoting the concepts of “Thinking Green, Going Clean and Living Cool”.
