Consumer Council conducted its April's specific price survey report on tissue and toilet papers earlier, surveyed data showed that price difference for the same item selling in different retail outlets had shrunk. The Council conducted the said survey report on 27th April, taking 13 samples of tissue and toilet papers from 25 local retail outlets. In comparison with last month's data, prices upsurge was less significant; price difference recorded for the same sample selling in different outlets also dropped to 36% from 41%. By strengthening its work on surveying prices of various commodities in the market, the Council hopes to increase transparency of the market and helps consumers to choose and make smart consumption. For consumers' easy reference, the Council has upgraded its price survey report system on its official website (www.consumer.gov.mo); consumers can now get access to information of each surveyed sample and compare their prices online. The specific price survey report on tissue and toilet paper is now available online on the Council's official website (http://www.consumer.gov.mo). For enquiries, please call 8988 9315.
