Responding to the 'Earth Hour 2012' held by the World Wide Fund for Nature, the Tourism Events Management Year 3 Students of Institute for Tourism Studies held the "Love.Light Up" Light Painting Photo Competition at the end of March. During the seven consecutive nights before the 'Earth Hour 2012', light painting photos were taken in the theme of love. It is one part of "2012 Love Never Dies" series event. Other events of the series include "Love.New Life" Tree-Planting activity as well as "Love.Experience" Blind Dinner. Thirty two photos were received for the competition and were judged by Mr. Ip, Director of The Photographic Society of Macao, Mr. Fong, Director of Photoblog.ecpz.net and Mr. Chin, vice-president of photoblog.ecpz.net. Three winning photos were chosen yesterday. The judges commented all the photos are artistic and creative, participants have tried their best to match with the theme. The champion goes to 'We Love therefore We Laugh'. Judges commented that the composition of this photo is outstanding, with the smiling couple holding the lighting heart which shows a very warm feeling of love. The photos selected as the second and the third match the photographers' creativity together with the beauty of Macao at night. The award ceremony is going to be held during "Love. Experience" Blind Dinner on 27April 2012 at the Educational Restaurant of Institute for Tourism Studies. The finalist photos will be exhibited at the Macau Science Museum from 1 to 11May 2012 for the public.
