The updated version of Consumer Council's 'Supermarket Price Platform' iPhone app was launched in April. Among the six functions inside the app, the newly-added 'Rankings for Supermarkets with Lowest Prices' becomes a highlight. The latest issue no. 248 Consumer Report features on each of the six functions and how to use them. After expanding its supermarket price data collection work, the Council has updated both its website and smart phone apps. A feature on the characteristics and functions of 'Supermarket Price Platform' i included in Consumer Report earlier, and a new feature is included in the latest issue no. 248, covering the details of the newly-updated iPhone app, including all the six functions and how to use them. Meanwhile, a summary on the development of the platform and the Council's work on supermarket price data collection are also included. The updated 'Supermarket Price Platform' iPhone app is simple, easy-to-use, and flexible. The original 'Top 10 Price Differences' has been upgraded to 'Top 20 Price Differences, 'Rankings for Supermarkets with Lowest Prices', which is updated monthly, is added to enable consumers to check where they can find the most number of cheapest products. The Council indicates that an updated version for its 'Supermarket Price Platform' Android app will be available soon. The latest Consumer Report also features articles on how to choose and use dehumidifier safely, the introduction of 'energy density', and the recent work of Consumer Council. Consumer Report is now available free of charge at the Consumer Council (Av. Horta e Costa, N.º 24-A, Edf.
