The concert includes three of Beethoven’s chamber music works
The Macao Orchestra de Macau, under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, presents the chamber music concert Obsessed with Beethoven, to be held on 27 March, Friday, at 8pm, at the Dom Pedro V Theatre. The programme of the concert includes three of the composer’s chamber music pieces. Tickets are available at the Macau Ticketing Network. The classical period was the golden age of chamber music and Beethoven was one of the most important composers of the 18th and 19th centuries, crucially contributing for the evolution of chamber music. The concert begins with Wind Octet in E-flat major, a refined work of the initial period and one of the most remarkable pieces of chamber music. The Orchestra also interprets two of the most brilliant works that helped establish Beethoven’s name as one of the world’s greatest composers, String Quartet No. 1 in F major and his latest composition Grosse Fugue.
