October issue of C2 discusses the e-marketing of cultural and creative products

Published by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and produced by 100 Plus Cultural Creative Development Ltd., the tenth issue of C2 will be launched on 5 October. This edition discusses the opportunities and challenges that e-marketing brings to the cultural and creative industries of Macao. This edition of “Feature” talks with creative director of Macon, Jane Chan. Macon is the first Macao fashion brand to successfully enter on to the Asian on-line shopping platform TMall. She shares how by analyzing online statistics she can better understand the tastes of the target consumer groups and consequently adjust her marketing strategies. Meanwhile, famous designer Chao Sio Leong thinks that physical stores continue to maintain their value, hoping that Macao designers can focus more on building the character and style of their own brands. Precious metals designer of Handy Garden, Aster Tam, shares the experience of using e-marketing to raise the awareness of her business to the public. “Chit Chat” invites rising movie director Emily Chan Nga Lei to share her experience of “marching” on the road in the movie making business. “Extravaganza” interviews director Chao Koi Wang, the winner of Best Short Film in the 9th FIRST International Film Festival in Xining, China, to share his experience on the festival and achievement of the award. “Around the Globe” invites world famous movie director Johnnie To to share how the Hong Kong film industry uses “Fresh Wave—International Short Film Festival” to cultivate film talents with know-how in business and art. “Blogs” columnists Alvis Sio, Lio Chi Heng, Rai Mutsu, Joe Tang, Choy Sau Ying, Yi-Hsin Lin and Rachel Mok share their unique perspectives on the development of artistic and cultural creations. C2 is a trilingual magazine (in Chinese, Portuguese and English), published online on the first Monday of each month. Readers are welcome to browse or download the magazine at www.c2magazine.mo.
