A 4D puzzle, created by local Macao entrepreneurs, features elements of the Historic Centre of Macao.

The annual Guangdong and Macao Branded Products Fair (GMBPF) will open on 30 July at the Macau Fisherman’s Wharf Convention and Exhibition Centre. With a programme filled with activities related to trade, cultural exchanges, shopping, leisure and entertainment, the event is set to be one of the most popular leisure attractions in the territory during its four days of operation. A platform to promote branded products 2014 GMBPF successfully attracted more than 135,000 visitors. The event this year occupies 6,000 square metres, similar to the size of last year. A wide range of famous branded products from Guangdong and Macao will be showcased, including food products, daily necessities, gifts, souvenirs, electronic products, and arts and crafts. Flavosource Foodstuff Co Ltd – an enterprise designated as one of ‘China’s Famous Trademarks’ – will participate, for the third time, in the Guangdong and Macao Branded Products Fair. Mr Nelson Liang, General Manager of Flavosource Foodstuff, said his company’s seasoning products – including soy sauce, oyster extract and abalone extract – were well received by the visitors at the Fair held previously. Noting that the GMBPF had been very effective in promoting its products, Mr Liang said the company had decided to participate in the event again this year. He said the highlighted product this year is the soy sauce containing selenium. Mr Liang said the product has an attractive packaging and will satisfy those who value a healthy diet. Mr Liang said his company is looking forward to further promoting its brand and products, seeking business partners and tapping international markets through GMBPF. A first time exhibitor at the GMBPF is Mr Li Binghua, head of the Jiangmen Pengjiang Wealth Purifying New Johnson Market Service Co Ltd. He said the primary product of his company is organic noodles, namely what it describes as handmade all-natural noodles and egg noodles. Mr. Li said he hopes to promote his brand as well as to offer visitors a healthy and more eco-friendly option. An exchange platform for trade and business Macao plays an important role as a platform for economic and trade co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries. As such, products from Portuguese-speaking countries will also be showcased at the 2015 GMBPF. A Portuguese-speaking Countries Products Exhibition and Sales area will be set up at the venue, while a number of Macao enterprises will also showcase products from these countries. Vang Kei Hong Trading Co Ltd, a company with over 30 years of experience in commerce, sells food products, beverages and wines from Portuguese-speaking countries. Mr Ip Sio Man, President of Vang Kei Hong Trading, pointed out that his company has been participating in the GMBPF as exhibitor since 2009. According to Mr Ip, the event offers great opportunities for the company to expand its business and to promote its products, as well as having a positive impact on sales. It is also a perfect occasion for suppliers to have a better understanding of the different products in the market and for suppliers to maintain a friendly relationship, Mr Ip added. Promoting Macao’s history and culture In order to support young business starters, and to add new elements to the event, the Organisers have established the “Young Business Starters” and the “Cultural and Creative Industries for Young Entrepreneurs” exhibition areas to provide them the opportunity to showcase their products. Skydream Company Ltd will be making its debut as an exhibitor at the GMBPF this year. The company’s Managing Director, Mr Chan Weng Hong, said the company would present a product that is a 4D puzzle of Macao. He described it as an international commodity created by Macao entrepreneurs. The innovative puzzle also features elements of the Historic Centre of Macao. With this product, people will gain a better understanding of the city’s history and culture, Mr. Chan stated.
