A University of Macau (UM) team from the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI (AMS-VLSI Lab) and Faculty of Science and Technology won a second prize at the National University Integrated Circuit Design Contest (NUICDC), one of the most influential and prestigious contests in the field in China. Led by Prof Lu Yan, the InPoCit team consisted of master’s students Luo Ziyang and Huang Yuanqing, and one PhD student Mao Fangyu. Their design and presentation received positive comments from the panel of judges comprised of both industry experts and academics. Co-organised by the Beijing Education Committee and the Beijing Electronic Association, the contest attracted more than 300 teams from 55 universities in China, including Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Sun Yat-sen University, and Wuhan University.
