ENTRANCE FEES OF THE COMMUNICATIONS MUSEUM

In order to encourage more local residents to visit the museum during their leisure time, the museum will adjust the entrance fees starting July 1. Visitors showing their Macao ID, Teacher’s Identity Card (international or local), Tour Guide Card and Tour Guide Trainee Card of Macao, ICOM Membership Card, Senior Citizen’s Card and Disability Assessment Registration Card issued by the Social Welfare Bureau will enjoy free entrance. Individual ticket for tourists or persons without showing any identification will be MOP10. The entrance ticket for a group of 15 persons or more will be MOP7 per person, and the ticket for student card holders (international or local) will be MOP5. All local student groups organized by schools and children under 3 years old will also enjoy free entrance.

DRAW MY STORY OF STAMPS CONTEST

This year the contest will still be divided into three categories by age: Children Group, Youth Group and General Group. The winners of First Prize, Second Prize, Third Prize and Appreciation Awards will be given fabulous prizes. You are invited to use your creativity to draw your story of “Macao, China” stamps or souvenir sheets. This year, a Participation Award will be awarded to the school or association that has submitted the most number of works as an appreciation of their support. The submission of works starts from now till 5:30pm on 9 September (Saturday). THE SCIENCE EXPRESS CAMP – A KICKOFF OF BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERIG

The Science Express Camp, organized by the Macau Society of Biomedical Engineering and the IEEE-EMB Hong Kong - Macau Joint Chapter and Communications Museum, will be held from August 8 to 11. Students promoting to Form 3 or above are welcomed to apply before July 15. The inspiring biomedical engineering trip will take them to visit the Orthopaedic Learning Centre & Sports Injury Research Laboratory of the Prince of Wales Hospital, Hong Kong Chinese University, Hong Kong Polytechnic University and University of Macau.

2017 SUMMER ACTIVITIES – COMMUNICATIONS MUSEUM

Communications Museum is going to organize the “Go-Fun-Math Summer” activity in the afternoons of 27 and 28 July. We are going to introduce students to mathematics used in our daily life in a fun and interesting way so as to increase their interest in mathematics and enhance their logical reasoning skills. Students going to primary four to six are welcome to enrol in this activity. Activities include “Brain Time – Logical Reasoning”, “Symmetry Workshop – Snowflakes DIY and Butterfly Painting”, “Go-Fun-Math Drawing”, “Go-Fun-Math Cafe”, Sodoku and “Decoding Games”, “Solving the Tower of Hanoi”, and guided visit to the “Mathinfinity” special exhibition. Application can be made at the Museum’s reception counter from now till 20 July. The fee is MOP50 per person. First-come-first-served.
