Service of the Preference Book Station will be terminated from July


In response to the open tender for cultural and creative shops at the Anim’Arte NAM VAN, the Macao Public Library of the Cultural Affairs Bureau will terminate the service of the Preference Book Station from 1 July; the last opening day is 30 June. Residents are welcome to use the “Book Exchange Scorecard” before it expires on 1 July. For enquiries, please contact the Macao Public Library through tel. no. 2837 7117 or 2893 0077 during operation hours (10am to 7pm, Monday to Saturday, and 11am to 7pm on Sundays).

The Anim’Arte NAM VAN, located at the Nam Van Lake Square, Avenida Panorâmica do Lago Nam Van, is jointly managed by the Macao Government Tourism Office, the Cultural Affairs Bureau, the Sports Bureau, and the Institute for Tourism Studies, under the governance of the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao S.A.R. Government, and has been officially open to the public since June 2016. The Anim’Arte NAM VAN features a café, pedal boats, cultural and creative shops, weekend crafts markets, exhibitions and performances, providing the public a leisure area with multicultural, tourist and recreational facilities, aiming at enriching the culture of the community. Since its opening, a number of cultural and creative entities have set up stores there and it has served as an exhibition and sales platform for more than 180 cultural and creative entities and individuals, attracting many overseas and local visitors. The six commercial spaces are designated for four cultural and creative shops and two catering outlets. The open tender procedures for these six commercial spaces at Anim’Arte NAM VAN has been started and the relevant works are currently under process.
