The 13thChina (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) will be held from 11 to 15 May at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Cultural Affairs Bureau will set up the Macao Creative Pavilion, promoting the participation of Macao’s cultural and creative entities. The opening ceremony will be held on 11 May, at 11:30am. The Macao Creative Pavilion, themed on Portuguese-style design products, will showcase and commercialise local cultural and creative products in the fair.
This year, the Macao Creative Pavilion will be installed in section No.2D03 in the Creative Living Hall (Hall 2), dedicated to Portuguese-style design products. The design of the pavilion mainly features the blue colour of the Portuguese “azulejo” (ceramic tiles). The booths are built like the structure of a ship, featuring a variety of diversified workbench display the exhibits. It is hoped that the public can feel the profound cultural essence of Macao as well as the blending of Chinese and Western cultures and appreciate and purchase Macao local cultural and creative products.
A total of 10 cultural and creative entities from Macao will participat in the fair, including 8 Bit Ltd., Companhia de O-Moon Limited, Casa de Artesanato Nam Fan Lou, Mobiliário Urbano Designers Limitada, San Seng Fung, Fuhong Society of Macau, MPLUS Interior Design Company Limited, Art House, Leathership Creation Limited Company and Follow Design Company Limited.
IC has organised the participation of Macao’s cultural and creative sector in the ICIF since 2006, and has also been inviting local cultural and creative entities to join the Macao Creative Pavilion following its inception in 2010. The five-day event is themed “Develop Culture with Trade”, and counts with a number of exhibitors and organizations from Mainland China and overseas.
