In the afternoon of the 22nd of March a terrorist attack took place in London near the House of Parliament, causing 5 deaths and over 40 injured, including a Chinese citizen. The Chinese Embassy in the United Kingdom has already contacted the injured Chinese citizen and his family, providing the necessary consular assistance. After the incident, the British authorities asked people to remain calm and vigilant.
The Chinese Embassy in the United Kingdom alerts Chinese citizens already in England to strengthen their awareness for security precautions and be prepared for emergency events, to follow closely the security situation in that country and the advice from the police authorities, avoid going to areas with large gatherings of people and going out alone during the night. In case of any abnormal situation, maintain calm and as soon as their safety is guaranteed, to contact the police immediately.
