Consumer Council, Macao Customs, and Economic Services patrolled together at Tap Seac Chinese New Year Market earlier to distribute promotional leaflets and reminded vendors about the laws and regulations regarding intellectual property rights, price labeling, and the importance of selling legal and safe products to consumers. Nonscheduled joint action will be carried out to safeguard consumer rights.
Consumer Council, Macao Customs, and Economic Services visited the Tap Seac New Year market on its opening day to distribute information to vendors about local laws and regulations to avoid violation of intellectual property rights. Joint action, including promotion and monitoring work, will be carried out by the relevant departments in response to festivals and long holidays.
A lot of consumers purchase Chinese zodiac animals accessories and toys at the New Year market, Consumer Council remind them to pay attention to the safety of these toys when buying for children, and be aware of intellectual property rights and be a responsible consumer to support the sustainable development of the environment.
