To renew the publicity materials for the security-control items and the dangerous goods at Macau International Airport, the previous ones of which have been in place for many years, the Civil Aviation Authority of Macao SAR (AACM) started the renewal project of producing new printed posters and a video since the second half of last year. The new publicity materials are installed and made public today.
The publicity materials for the security-control items and the dangerous goods at Macau International Airport comprise of three major subjects: 1) the requirements of the carriage of liquids, aerosols and gels, 2) the types of restricted articles and 3) the types of dangerous goods (including the requirements of the carriage of lithium batteries). The information of these subjects is published in printed posters and broadcasted in a video, which are put in the baggage screening area, the check-in counters, the passenger screening area and the boarding gates on the departures level, as well as in the transit corridor and the express link area. The electronic screens at the check-in counters and the passenger screening area are newly adopted for this purpose. The video has been broadcasted in the electronic screens in these areas since mid-December 2016.
During the production process, AACM invited the Public Security Police Force, the Administration of Airports Ltd. and Menzies Macau Airport Services Ltd. to participate in defining the content of the new publicity materials. AACM hopes that through collaboration among all parties and with the valuable ideas and comments collected for this project, the new publicity materials can give the passengers a better picture of what they need to comply with, as well as facilitate the airport personnel in attending to enquiries made by the passengers on related issues in their day-to-day operations.
