On 5 January afternoon, Correctional Services Bureau held the inauguration ceremony for two Heads of Division. Under the witness of Deputy Director Loi Kam Wan and the heads, Ho Fai In and Ng Iok Wong took an oath, administered by Director Cheng Fong Meng, to respectively assume the post of Head of Legal Support Division and Head of Repair and Maintenance Division.
Head of Division Ho Fai In earned her Bachelor of Law degree from Sun Yat-sen University and completed the Introduction to Macau Law program at the University of Macau. With over 13 years of law-related working experience, she has been performing legal work for the Prison since 2002. On 1 January 2016, she started serving as the Acting Head of Legal Support Division. During her career, Ho Fai In has completed various professional training programs on areas including criminal law and criminal procedure law, labor law and labor procedure law, in-depth international law training, law drafting and criminal interrogation techniques. She also received an individual award in 2008 for her excellent work performance.
Head of Division Ng Iok Wong, Bachelor of Engineering, Huaqiao University, started engaging in engineering-related work at the Prison in 2003. He was, chronologically, Team Leader of Education and Training Team of Social Assistance, Education and Training Division and Team Leader of Property Management and Maintenance Team of Finance and Property Division. On 1 January 2016, he started serving as the Acting Head of Repair and Maintenance Division. He has completed a series of practical training programs on areas including facility management, safety concept and practices for working at height, quality system and procedure optimization, administrative procedure code and leadership training. Moreover, he also received a group award in 2006 and 2016 respectively.
In a speech during the ceremony, Director Cheng Fong Meng mentioned that the two Division Heads being sworn in will further strengthen the team of management-level personnel at the Bureau, and looked forward that they can continue with their contributions, dedication and self-discipline at work, fully utilize their professional knowledge and rich experiences, and guide their subordinates in thoroughly carrying out the responsibilities, striving for excellence and continually elevating work efficacy and quality. Furthermore, Director Cheng also hoped that all subordinate entities and subsidiary units of the Bureau can further cooperate and collaborate as a team so as to provide even better correctional services.
