Inauguration Ceremony of Deputy Commissioner of PSP

Commissioner Leong Man Cheong fastens the epaulettes of Deputy Commissioner Lao Wan Seong.

Assistant Commissioner Lao Wan Seong of the Public Security Police Force (PSP) assumed office as the Deputy Commissioner today (15 September).. The inauguration ceremony, which was held at the PSP Headquarters in the afternoon, was officiated by Commissioner Leong Man Cheong and witnessed by Deputy Commissioner Wong Chi Fai and heads of various departments.

After completing the 2nd Senior Police Officer Training Programme organized by the Academy of Public Security Forces (ESFSM) in 1996, Deputy Commissioner Lao Wan Seong served as division heads of the Police School, the Resource Management Department and the Operations Department under the PSP, and then held the posts of Head of Operations Department and Adviser of the Office of the Secretary for Security. Ms Lao has served as the Acting Deputy Commissioner of the PSP since 29 May 2017 upon completion of the 5th Command and Leadership Programme organized by the ESFSM in the same year.

Deputy Commissioner Lao Wan Seong is a decisive and innovative person who makes good use of talent. Over the years, Ms Lao has served the Force conscientiously through her continuous efforts to generate cohesive team spirit, take forward overall development of the Force and increase work efficiency, which have achieved remarkable results. In addition, Ms Lao has been promoted and awarded commendations repeatedly for her outstanding work performance with her profound professional knowledge and excellent leadership.
