New Issue of Macao Higher Education Magazine – Review and Outlook on the Development of Higher Education

The new issue of the Macao Higher Education Magazine - Special Edition has been published. Interested parties can obtain the magazines in specific government departments, public libraries, higher education institutions etc., or visit the website of the Tertiary Education Services Office (GAES) to read and download the magazine.

The Higher Education Regime Law was finally approved by the Legislative Assembly in July. The law was the published in the Official Gazette of Macao Administrative Region. It will come into force one year after its publication. This marks a new stage for the development of Macao’s higher education. In order to commemorate this crucial moment, and to review the past and look into the future along with our readers, the Tertiary Education Services Office has compiled a special edition of Macao Higher Education Magazine. The content covers the evolution of Macao’s higher education, highlights of the new legal framework, the course of development of Macao’s higher education and the history of the higher education institutions. The Magazine also interviewed several essential figures who have witnessed the development of Macao’s higher education in Macao.

Magazine copies will be given out at GAES, Centre for Higher Education Students, Public Information Centre, Government Services Centre, public libraries, Macao’s higher education institutions, Plaza Cultural Macau, Starlight Bookstore etc. Interested parties can also visit the website of GAES (http://www.gaes.gov.mo/eng/publish) to read and download the new or previous issues for both the Chinese and International Editions of the Macao Higher Education Magazine.
