Children’s Theatre at CCM Additional show for A Little Lamp, Pea and Feather

Due to overwhelming ticket demand, the Macao Cultural Centre, under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, will be presenting one additional show of A Little Lamp, Pea and Feather. Staged by Slovenia’s Ljubljana Puppet Theatre, the extra performance is scheduled for January 1, 2018.

The showtakes the little ones wandering around a magical world, through a gentle performance that will lull toddlers into an enchanting story inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s tale The Princess and the Pea. Imagined by Slovenia’s Ljubljana Puppet Theatre, the performance welcomes kids one to four years old into a bright, colourful setting, immersing them into a sensory experience of visual and sound effects, from the tolling of little bells and harp playing, to the repetition of simple sounds, syllables and words, telling the audience a story about a young prince searching for his dream princess.

In parallel to the performance, CCM promotes various activities, including a sharing session hosted by the Slovenian cast who will be introducing educators and parents to the benefits of theatre on children’s development, and two family oriented workshops where little kids will learn lullabies and how to make their own paper puppets.

This production is part of a series of children’s performances planned for this year-end at CCM, which also includes Like Cat and Dog, an interactive multimedia play by Spanish company Teatre Animal.

The extra show hits the stage on January 1, 2018 (Monday) at the Small Auditorium. Tickets are already on sale at MOP 180 with various discounts at CCM’s box office and Macao Ticketing outlets.
