CE to deliver 2018 Policy Address on 14 November


The Chief Executive, Mr Chui Sai On, will deliver the Policy Address for the Fiscal Year 2018 on 14 November at the Legislative Assembly.

The session will be held at 3pm. It will be followed by a press conference at the Government Headquarters at 5pm, when Mr Chui will answer questions from the media.

The following day (15 November), from 3pm to 6pm, Mr Chui will attend a plenary meeting of the Legislative Assembly to explain the Government’s policy programme and to answer questions from Assembly members.

The public can watch and hear the Policy Address and subsequent press conference – and the following day’s question and answer session with Assembly members – via live broadcast on the television channels and radio service of public broadcaster TDM.

Members of the public also have the option of watching the proceedings online via: the Macao SAR Government Portal (http://www.gov.mo); the website of the Chief Executive’s Office (http://www.gce.gov.mo); the website of the Legislative Assembly (http://www.al.gov.mo); the website of the Government Information Bureau (http://www.gcs.gov.mo); and via the official channels on YouTube of the Chief Executive’s Office (https://www.youtube.com/c/gcegovmo) and of the Government Information Bureau (https://www.youtube.com/user/macaogcs).

Users of portable devices may watch the live sessions via GCE Macao, a mobile application issued by the Chief Executive’s Office, or through MSAR News, the mobile app of the Government Information Bureau.

The full version of the 2018 Policy Address in Chinese and Portuguese will be available for download once Mr Chui has finished his live address on 14 November. It can be obtained via, respectively, the website of the Chief Executive’s Office, that of the Government Information Bureau, or via the Macao SAR Government Portal.

In preparation for the Policy Address for the Fiscal Year 2018, the Chief Executive and his cabinet have met with representatives of associations and people from all walks of life in Macao in order to hear their views on key topics. Also, the Government launched on 11 October a consultation to listen to suggestions and opinions from members of the public. The consultation is to conclude today.
