UM to hold Open Day this Sunday 22 April

The UM Open Day will be held this Sunday 22 April

The University of Macau Open Day will be held this Sunday from 11:00am to 5:00pm. There will be various activities on the Open Day, including family-friendly games, sports contests, science booths, and prizes with games. Macao residents and tourists, especially students and their parents, are welcome to attend the event and spend a joyful Sunday on UM’s campus.

The opening ceremony for the Open Day and ‘Smart Campus’ will be held at 11:00am in the plaza in front of the university library. In addition to a student parade and an international food festival, there will be carefully designed workshops, interesting experiments, exciting performances, academic programme consultation, knowledge competitions, sports contests, booth games, fun family-friendly games, and academic talks. These activities will be suitable for visitors of all ages, with themes covering science and technology, literature, creative art, and sports.

Participants will have the chance to win an iPad after collecting all the required stamps or win a set of AirPods after completing the ‘Ten-Day Challenge’ on UM’s official Facebook page. Those who have uploaded photos of the Open Day to their WeChat or Facebook page can also claim small gifts at the game booth. There are many more surprises for you to discover on the Open Day.

Those who are interested in attending the Open Day can take bus route 71, 73, or 72 to get to the campus. Those who plan to drive to the campus can park the vehicles in UM’s public car parks. The various restaurants on campus will be open to the public on the Open Day with various discounts.
