Hong Kong secondary school teachers and students visit MPI to experience excellence in higher education

MPI’s learning experience day deepens the understanding of studying in Macao for Hong Kong secondary school students

In order to strengthen the cooperation and exchange in the field of education between Hong Kong and Macao, the Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI) held a learning experience day from July 4th to 9th. It attracted more than 100 teachers and students from Hong Kong secondary schools to experience the learning life of excellence in higher education in MPI and Macao.

To broaden the understanding of higher education in Macao and provide reference for further studies, MPI hosted the learning experience day to enable Hong Kong secondary school students to deepen their understanding of the distinctive disciplines, school quality, learning environment, campus life, student support of the institute, as well as the life in Macao. The teachers and students who participated in the activity said that the institute’s level of education is internationally recognized. The teaching and research in the fields of Portuguese, arts and culture, innovation and technology are deeply rooted and fruitful. The school provides students with many learning opportunities and a learning environment for all-round development, as well as providing Hong Kong students with a variety of opportunities for further studies.

The organiser, the Registry of MPI, aims to enhance Hong Kong students’ understanding of Macao higher education through the activity. The experience day covers lectures, campus visits, and experience classes in various fields including Portuguese language, arts and culture, and information technology. The teachers and students who participated were from the Yan Chai Hospital No.2 Secondary School, San Wui Commercial Society Secondary School, Yan Oi Tong Chan Wong Suk Fong Memorial Secondary School, Carmel Bunnan Tong Memorial Secondary School, Lee Kau Yan Memorial School, and others.
