Service arrangements during typhoons

When Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is in effect, all visits and public services at Coloane Prison, Youth Correctional Institution and Correctional Services Bureau Service and Information Centre will be suspended. Visits and public services will resume once Typhoon Signal No. 8 is lowered.


FSS Maintains Online Services During the Work Exemption Period

In response to the outbreak of COVID-19, the Social Security Fund’s services to the public are suspended during the work exemption period of public sector, and only online services are maintained.

To enquire about general administrative procedures, residents may call the 24-hour interactive voice response hotline 2823 8238 (Social Security System) or 2823 0230 (Non-Mandatory Central Provident Fund System).  For other details, please visit the Social Security Fund’s website at www.fss.gov.mo.


The Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) maintains basic statistical services

In light of the pandemic, the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) will conduct data collection on a limited scale and maintain the following public services during the period of 5 to 7 October:

1. Enquiries on statistical data (tel: 8399 5311 / e-mail: info@dsec.gov.mo)

2. Enquiries on commodity codes for external trade (tel: 2831 4738 / 2831 4650 / 2831 4710)

Service hours: 09:00 to 17:45 (no breaks)


The Correctional Services Bureau suspends non-urgent external services during 5 to 7 October

In view of the development of the COVID-19 pandemic, the SAR Government has decided to suspend public departments’ services and exempt public servants from work during 5 to 7 October to reduce the risk of the infections spreading. Therefore, the Correctional Services Bureau will suspend all non-urgent services during the abovementioned period. Details as follows:

  1.  Coloane Prison suspends visits to inmates, meetings with social workers, and the processing of the applications for the permit for visiting an inmate, a video visit to an inmate, an appointment with a prison social worker, and the certificate of imprisonment;
  2.  The Youth Correctional Institution suspends all external services, including visits to juvenile delinquents, meeting with social workers, and the processing of the applications for the permit for visiting a juvenile delinquent, a video visit to a juvenile delinquent, and the certificate of residence at Youth Correctional Institution;
  3.  The Correctional Services Bureau Service and Information Centre – situated at “China Plaza”, 8 andar A – suspends all external services.

Members of the public wishing to apply for the permit for visiting an inmate, a video visit to an inmate, an appointment with a prison social worker and the certificate of imprisonment can lodge the application online by logging into http://www.dsc.gov.mo/siteen/web_opinion.aspx.


CCAC suspends services between 5th and 7th October

The Macao SAR Government has decided to exempt public servants from work between 5th and 7th October in order to reduce the spread of the virus. Therefore, the departments that provide services for the public (the Complaint Management Centre, the Declaration of Assets and Interests Division and the Branch Offices at Areia Preta and Taipa) will be closed during the period. For reports and complaints over corruption and public services, please use our online complaint service or call the Report Hotline at 2836 1212. The deadline for declaration of assets and interests by public servants will be extended to the first working day following the suspension.

During the issue of typhoon signal no. 8, the visitation and public service of Coloane Prison, Youth Correctional Institution and Correctional Services Bureau Service and Information Centre will be temporarily suspended and will be restored until the typhoon signal no. 8 is withdrawn.

Correctional Services Bureau Maintains Partial Visiting Service

In view of the latest situation of the COVID-19 epidemic and citizens’ need for public services, and in accordance with the SAR Government’s epidemic prevention instructions to reduce the gathering of people and the risk of the virus spreading, since 4 March 2020, the Correctional Services Bureau has partially resumed the visits to inmates of Coloane Prison and juvenile delinquents of the Youth Correctional Institution. Considering the evolving epidemic situation, the Bureau will maintain the arrangement where visits are permitted every other week.

Service arrangement concerning visits to inmates of Coloane Prison:

  • Frequency of visits is once every two weeks; each visit lasts an hour;
  • Visits are conducted through handsets;
  • For the time being, items are not allowed to be brought in during visits.

Service arrangement concerning visits to juvenile delinquents held in the Youth Correctional Institution:

  • Frequency of visits is once every two weeks; each visit lasts an hour;
  • For the time being, items are not allowed to be brought in during visits.

 

Pursuant to the “Guidelines for the measures to be adopted by public departments during the fight against the epidemic”, the Correctional Services Bureau would like to remind members of the public that, prior to entering any facility of the Bureau, they must submit the personal health declaration, wear their own mask and receive a body temperature check; otherwise, their entry will be denied. We ask that members of the public cooperate with and support the epidemic prevention efforts.

Special arrangement for services of CTT Macao on 29th February 2020

Due to the development of the novel coronavirus, CTT Macao would like to inform that opening hour of the underneath Post Offices on 29th February 2020, while the other Post Offices will be closed temporarily.

The money transfer service of Western Union in post offices continues to be suspended on this day.

The location for parcels pick up is Central Post Office with entrance in Rua da Sé. Both recipients of parcels or EMS items can use the “Track-and-Trace” service in CTT’s website to check the status of their mails http://www.ctt.gov.mo/MacauPost/Contents/MailTrack.aspx.

Please pay attention that there are delays in all services provides, in particular, the delivery of postal items and delays will not be compensated during this period until further notice.
