Application at counter (applicants are required to obtain a number tag in advance. For the methods to obtain the tag number, please refer to “Methods to Obtain Tag Number and Appointment” of the website of the Identification Services Bureau.)

Long-term associations which mainly aim at contributing to the exercise of civil and political rights and participate in political activities. The objectives and the activities of a political association involve “participating in election; introducing suggestion, opinion, and outline in regard to governance and management; participating in the activities of governing authorities and municipal organizations; criticizing the activities of public administration; and promoting civil and political education and awareness.
Application Formalities and Required Documents
The association founder should lodge the application at DSI and provide the following documents:
a. A completed application form for the “Certificate of Adoptable Name of Association and Foundation”;
b. A declaration with signatures of not less than 200 citizens who are ordinarily residing in Macao and are entitled to political rights and civil rights (The signatures have to be notarized by the Public Notary Office. In accordance with laws, such notarization is free of charge.);
c. Draft constitution, name of association and the association’s abbreviated name and logo if any.
