Phytosanitary Certificate

Application


How to process

Documents to be submitted: 
1. Application form (001/DZVJ) (available at all Services Centres free of charge or downloadable on the IAM website);
2. A clear photocopy of identification document;
3. If the plant species are regulated by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), it is required to submit a clear photocopy of the CITES certificate issued by the Economic and Technological Development Bureau of the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region.
Note: After approval of the application, it is required to send the plants to the Division of Conservation of Nature of Department of Green Areas and Gardens in Seac Pai Van Park for phytosanitary inspection.

Documents to be produced: 
1. The original of identification document;
2. If the plant species are regulated by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), it is required to produce the original of the CITES certificate issued by the Economic and Technological Development Bureau of the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region.

Methods of handling plants received for phytosanitary inspection:
1. Public Services Centres: Submission of form in person. After receipt of notification by phone, the applicant sends the plants to be inspected to the Division of Conservation of Nature of Department of Green Areas and Gardens. After completion of the phytosanitary inspection procedure, the services centre will forward the phytosanitary certificate to the applicant and receive payment of fee. Then the applicant proceeds to the Division of Conservation of Nature of Department of Green Areas and Gardens to collect the inspected plants;
2. Division of Conservation of Nature of Department of Green Areas and Gardens: Submission of form in person, along with plants to be inspected. After completion of the phytosanitary inspection procedure, the division will notify the applicant to come and pay the fee. It will issue the phytosanitary certificate and return the inspected plants.

2. Northern District Public Services Centre: Rua Nova da Areia Preta, n.º 52, Centro de Serviços da RAEM, Macau;
3. Central District Public Services Centre: Rotunda de Carlos da Maia, n.os 5 e 7, Complexo da Rotunda de Carlos da Maia, 3.º andar, Macau;
4. Islands District Public Services Centre: Rua de Coimbra, nº 225, 3º andar, Centro de Serviços da RAEM das Ilhas, Taipa;
5. Islands District Public Services Centre – Seac Pai Van Station: Avenida de Vale das Borboletas, Complexo Comunitário de Seac Pai Van, 6.º andar, Coloane;
6. Division of Conservation of Nature of the Department of Green Areas and Gardens: Seac Pai Van Country Park, Coloane.

Office hours:
Integrated Service Centre and All Public Services Centres: 
Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
(no lunch break, closed on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays)

 

Islands District Public Services Centre – Seac Pai Van Station:

Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays)

 

Division of Conservation of Nature of the Department of Green Areas and Gardens:
Monday to Thursday: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.;
Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
(closed on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays)


Fees

Application fee: The basic fee for application for certificate is MOP45 (printing on both pages of one sheet of paper). The actual fee to be paid depends on the number of pages of the certificate issued.

Form fee: Not applicable.

Stamp duty: The basic stamp duty for application for certificate is MOP20 (printing on both pages of one sheet of paper). The actual stamp duty to be paid depends on the number of pages of the certificate issued.

Security deposit: Not applicable.

Fees, Charges and Prices List: Phytosanitary inspection fees are charged in accordance with the current “Fees, Charges and Prices List of IAM” www.iam.gov.mo/c/pricetable/list.


Time required for processing

Time for approval: 5 working days (excluding the time which the applicant sends the plants to the Division of Conservation of Nature of Department of Green Areas and Gardens in Seac Pai Van Park for phytosanitary inspection after receipt of notification).


Remarks / Important notes on application

Important notes: The plant’s name (scientific name), quantity, place of origin and destination of the plant should be clearly stated in the application form.
