1. What is the stamp-duty required to be affixed onto the “Power of Attorney” and its translated version?

No stamp duty is required for Power of Attorney. Stamp duty must be paid for the translation of Power of Attorney together with the certificate of translation, with 5 patacas for each page and an additional 10 patacas per certificate.


2. How to find publications regarding registration of name and emblem of establishment?

The industrial property protection notices posted on the Official Gazette of Macao SAR are available in the Internet. Please refer to “Intellectual Property –Official Gazette of the Macao SAR(Different Types of Ind. Property Notices)” in the website of the Economic and Technological Development Bureau or the website of Government Printing Bureau http://www.io.gov.mo/.


3. How to apply for an electronic name and emblem of establishment registration certificate?

Applicants or agents when using “Macao One Account” to login DSEDT website (www.dsedt.gov.mo) to apply for trademark application can choose to receive electronic registration certificate through “Macao One Account”.  After the name and emblem of establishment being registered, the respective applicants or agents can read, download or print out the electronic certificate by means of the function of “My Certificate and License” of “Macao One Account”.


4. How to verify the information of the electronic name and emblem of establishment registration certificate?

There are two QR codes on the electronic name and emblem of establishment registration certificate.  Scanning the QR code of the “Macao One Account” can verify the legal status of the registration certificate; while scanning the QR code of the DSEDT can verify its detailed information.
