How to Apply
Formalities and Documents Required for Application
Collective management agencies of copyright and related rights are obliged to communicate the following to the Economic and Technological Development Bureau, within 30 days after their approval or adoption:
- Amendments to their statutes
- Changes in the composition of their administrative organs
- Changes in the list of parties that they represent
- Agreements entered into with other entities of the same type, with entities representing users or with broadcasting organizations
- Apply in person:
- The applicant should complete the “ Mandatory Notification Form for the Collective Management Agencies of Copyright and Related Rights ” in Chinese or Portuguese (the form can be obtained at the service location or downloaded from DSEDT website)
- Application must be made on behalf of a body corporate;
- After signing the form, recognized signature can be made at the service location by showing the original identity document with signature, if the applicant is an association established in Macao SAR, a valid Certificate of Association must be presented (must show the existence of registration record and the leadership structure of established association at the Identification Services Bureau).
- Submit the form with the annexes to the Industrial Property Application Counter of Reception Center of the Economic and Technological Development Bureau (2nd Floor).
- The applicant should complete the “ Mandatory Notification Form for the Collective Management Agencies of Copyright and Related Rights ” in Chinese or Portuguese (the form can be obtained at the service location or downloaded from DSEDT website)

- The completed “ Mandatory Notification Form for the Collective Management Agencies of Copyright and Related Rights ”, which can be obtained at the service location or downloaded from DSEDT website.
- Supporting documents.
Supplementary documents to be submitted as appropriate
- When processed by an appointed agent:
- Power of attorney (must be duly authenticated, with recognition of the identity of the constituent and the exercise of the power of attorney).
- For powers of attorneys, certificates or other documents not written in one of the official languages of the Macao SAR:
- Translation into one of the official languages of the Macao SAR (Chinese or Portuguese), duly authenticated/ certified;
- Stamp duty is required for translation certificate, with 5 patacas for each page, and an additional 10 patacas per certificate.
