How to apply

Application time

Applicants or people they authorise may make an appointment on the Online Appointment Booking System (http://onlinebooking.ipim.gov.mo/en/aultAgree.aspx) to file a temporary residency application. Appointments can also be made in-person at the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute, and applicants may submit all required documents on the specified date.

09:00 to 13:00 (Tags dispensed and receiving supplementary documentation until 12:30)

14:30 to 17:45 (Tags dispensed until 17:00; Receiving supplementary documentation until 17:30)

Closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays

Duration of approval procedure

Within 45 days of the application – the counting will be halted according to the period specified in Item 2 of Paragraph 2 under Article 15 of Administrative Regulation No 3/2005.

Remarks / important information about application

  1. Administrative Regulation No 7/2007 came into effect on 4 April 2007, which terminates effect of Item (4) of Article 1 and Article 3 of Administrative Regulation No 3/2005 (Residency Regime for Investors, Management and Technical Personnel).
    1. Based on the above administrative regulation, IPIM stopped accepting residency applications based on investment in real estate from 4 April 2007.
    2. The termination does not apply to:
      1. Residency renewal applications;
      2. Applications for residency extension to family dependents of applicants whose residency is already approved;
      3. Applications filed to IPIM before the enforcement of the administrative regulation.
    3. The termination is also not applicable to applications that have been registered and are on the waiting list but have not yet been officially accepted.

Result collection:

By mail for new application and extension application

By mail or in-person collection on the ground floor of Macao Government Services Centre (Area Preta) for renewal application

When collecting the result, please present the applicant’s ID
