How to Apply

Time of Application

According to Article 41 and Term 6, Article 43 of Law No. 16/2021, if there is any change in their habitual residence or professional domicile (if any) in the Macao Special Administrative Region, persons who are granted Residence Authorization should notify the Residence and Stay Affairs Department of the Public Security Police Force within 45 days from the date of change. Otherwise, they will be fined.

Application Procedures and Documents Required

1. Application Approach: The interested person or the legal representative should go to the Residence and Stay Affairs Department to make the notification of the change of habitual residence or professional domicile (if any).
2. Documents to be Presented
   1. Unless otherwise noted, the original should be exhibited for authentication if a copy is submitted.
   2. The copy should be authenticated if the original cannot be exhibited.
3. Document to be Submitted
   1. The interested person submitting the documents in person:
      1. A Declaration of Contact Address and Habitual Residence Address (DARP/DARP M-1) signed by the interested person;
         [Note: The application form is available at the subdivision concerned and the website of the Public Security Police Force.]
      2. A copy of the interested person’s Macao Resident Identity Card.
   2. The legal representative submitting the documents:
      1. Documents listed in Point 3.1 (the Declaration of Contact Address and Habitual Residence Address to be signed by the representative);
      2. A certified letter of authorization;
      3. A copy of his/her valid identification document.

Remarks / Points to Note

1. According to Term 1, Article 66 of Law No. 16/2021, to apply for a visa, Authorization to Enter and Stay, Macao SAR Residence Authorization, Renewal or Extension of Residence Authorization means the interested person consents to have his or her personal information, which includes his or her biodata, treated by the Public Security Police Force.
2. Penalty for not reporting change of address: Persons who fail to notify the authorities of the change in their habitual residence or professional domicile (if any) as stipulated in Article 41 and Term 6, Article 43 of Law No. 16/2021 will have to pay a penalty of MOP2000 to MOP6000 according to Item 4, Term 1, Article 90 of the Law. Recidivism will result in an increase in the lower limit of the penalty by one fourth while the upper limit remains unchanged.
