How to Apply

Time of Application

1. Persons who are granted Residence Authorization or issued a Residence Authorization Certificate can go to the Residence Subdivision to apply for change of their personal information if they need to change the information that they had declared at the Residence and Stay Affairs Department and hence recorded in their personal dossier (e.g.: name of interested person, name of parents, date of birth, marital status, etc.).
2. Persons who are applying or going to apply for Residence Authorization or renewal of the Authorization may apply for change of their personal information at the same time.

Application Procedures and Documents Required

1. Application Approach
   1. The application can be submitted by the interested person or a legal representative.
   2. The representative is required to submit the following:
      1. A certified letter of authorization;
      2. A copy of his/her valid identification document.
2. Documents to be Presented
   1. Unless otherwise noted, the original should be exhibited for authentication if a copy is submitted.
   2. The copy should be authenticated if the original cannot be exhibited.
3. Document to be Submitted
   1. An application form (DARP/DARP M-2) with reasons stated;
      [Note: The application form is available at the subdivision concerned and the website of the Public Security Police Force.]
   2. A copy of the identification document the interested person is holding;
   3. Valid proof of the reason for the application.

Remarks / Points to Note

1. According to Term 1, Article 66 of Law No. 16/2021, to apply for a visa, Authorization to Enter and Stay, Macao SAR Residence Authorization, Renewal or Extension of Residence Authorization means the interested person consents to have his or her personal information, which includes his or her biodata, treated by the Public Security Police Force.
2. The interested persons should note that according to Articles 75 and 76 of Law No. 16/2021, persons who falsify documents, use or possess falsified documents, or make false declaration about an identity are liable on conviction to imprisonment.
