1. Application Eligibility
Macao residents who are not eligible for a travel document which entitles them to travel to Hong Kong but need to go there in an emergency (e.g. attending family funeral, seeking medical treatment, visiting critically-ill relative, summoned by a consulate or a court in Hong Kong, etc.)
2. Application Approach
The interested person (or a representative) and his/her guarantor (a Macao permanent resident) going to the Stay Subdivision together for application
3. Required Documents
- A completed application form for the Statement(DARP/SP M-8 );
- Copy of the interested person’s Macao Identity Card;
- Proof of urgent need to travel to Hong Kong;
- Other relevant proof or document;
- 3 photos of 1.5-inch, full face, no-hat, white-background, coloured / black-and-white;
- Copy of guarantor’s Macao Identity Card.
[Note: In case of travelling to Hong Kong for medical treatment, the document listed above in Point 3 refers to an official letter from the Centro Hospitalar Conde de São Januário and a medical certificate issued by a doctor.]
4. Documents must be presented
The original should be exhibited for authentication if a copy is submitted
5. Charges (or Taxes)
Free of charge
6. Processing Time (excluding time of waiting in a queue and postage time for documents sent by mail)
By 15:00 of the next working day 〈performance pledge〉
(It is timed from the moment when the service unit received and confirmed that all the required documents had been correctly prepared.)
7. Remarks
- According to Term 1, Article 66 of Law No. 16/2021, to apply for a visa, Authorization to Enter and Stay, Macao SAR Residence Authorization, Renewal or Extension of Residence Authorization means the interested person consents to have his or her personal information, which includes his or her biodata, treated by the Public Security Police Force.
- In case of travelling to Hong Kong for visiting a patient or for a family funeral, the applicant should be a direct relative of the patient or the deceased.
- In case of travelling to Hong Kong for medical treatment, the document listed above in Point 3 refers to an official letter from the Centro Hospitalar Conde de S. Januario and a medical certificate issued by a doctor; no guarantor is required.
