Application for Video Visit to Juvenile Delinquent


How to apply

Application procedure and necessary documents

Applying in person

Applicants need to submit the following documents:

  1.  “Application for Video Visit” of the Youth Correctional Institution
  2. Copy of valid identification document(s)

Note: When copies are submitted for application, originals must be presented for verification.

 

Online application
The applicants logs in to the “online service” system on the Correctional Services Bureau’s website or mobile app, clicks the item “Application for Video Visit to Juvenile Delinquent”, and enters the relevant information according to the instruction of the system. The application procedure is then complete.

  • Applying in person: To be completed within 8 working days as of the day when all required documents are received.
  • Online application: To be completed within 7 working days as of the day when all required documents are received.

Remarks / important notes when applying

  1. Times for video visit:
    • Members of the public using the video visit service are entitled to up to an hour’s visit time;
    • Members of the public may choose from one of the following 3 sessions to use the video visit service:
      Monday to Friday (except public holidays):
      Morning: 10:30 – 11:30; 12:15 – 13:15
      Afternoon: 15:30 – 16:30
  2. Location for video visit:
    • Correctional Services Bureau Service and Information Centre, located at Avenida da Praia Grande, China Plaza, 8 andar “A”, Macao
  3. Important notes for video visit:
    • Each juvenile delinquent is entitled to only one video visit per week. After the video visit is completed, the juvenile delinquent concerned will not be permitted to receive the regular visit within the same week.
    • No more than 3 visitors are allowed to participate in the same video visit.
    • Video visitors must arrive at the Correctional Services Bureau Service and Information Centre 15 minutes in advance of the scheduled video visit.
    • The video visit must end at the time specified on the application. No extra time will be given for late arrival of the visitor.
    • On arrival at the Correctional Services Bureau Service and Information Centre, video visitors must present the original of their valid identification document for verification. Those who are unable to present a valid identification document or whose personal information is not consistent with that on the application will not be arranged to pay the video visit.
    • No delivery of articles will be accepted during the video visit.
    • Prior to the commencement of the video visit, visitors must store all personal belongings (including mobile phones, keys and wallets) at the locker at the Correctional Services Bureau Service and Information Centre.
    • A staff member of the Youth Correctional Institution will keep the juvenile delinquent company during the entire video visit. Any situation endangering the safety and order of or posing negative impact on the Youth Correctional Institution will result in the immediate suspension of the visit.
