1. When should I fill in the quarterly declaration form? Through which channels can I make the declaration for narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances?

The person responsible for compiling and maintaining the register of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in the firm for import, export and wholesale of pharmaceutical products should make the declaration within 30 days following the end of each quarter. Such declarations can be made through Pharmaceutical Administration Bureau’s online declaration system for the quarterly inventory movement of controlled medicines, or by completing the paper-based declaration form.


2. What should I do if the narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in a pharmacy or firm for import, export and wholesale of pharmaceutical products are stolen or lost?

In the event that the narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in a pharmacy or firm for import, export and wholesale of pharmaceutical products are stolen or lost, the entity in charge of safekeeping those substances or preparations should, within 24 hours of the incident, report to the Macao Health Bureau and police authorities in writing, describe the details of the incident and indicate the exact amount and features of the substances and preparations lost, as well as the evidence that can be provided.
