1. What supporting document should I submit when handing over the products?

A letter of application containing the following information should be submitted when handing over the products:

– Particulars of the person delivering the products: e.g. name, contact information (if any)

– Product information: name, quantity, lot number (if any), date of expiry (if any), etc.;

– Reason for submission: disposal, expired, damaged or recalled medicine, etc.;

The person delivering the products must sign and stamp (if applicable) on the document.


2. How should I dispose of expired, recalled and damaged medicines?

Residents can hand over the expired, recalled, damaged or residual medicines to the Pharmaceutical Administration Bureau, pharmacies of Conde de S. Januário General Hospital or of the Health Centres for disposal. Operators of businesses licensed by the Health Bureau/Pharmaceutical Administration Bureau should hand over the said medicines with a product list to the Pharmaceutical Administration Bureau for disposal.
