Blood donation by individuals
- Fill out a blood donation form and a health questionnaire Forms are available at the place of blood donation or can be download from our website. Produce the original copy of your identity document. If a blood donor hasn’t reached 18 years old, then a consent form signed by a parent or guardian must be presented. Consent forms are available at the place of blood donation or can be downloaded from our website.
- Individuals who wish to make appointment for blood donation online may do so by visiting the website: www.ssm.gov.mo/cts/en/blook-ser/preson-make
Note:
- Blood donors who park their cars at the underground car park in Alameda Dr. Carlos D’ Assumpcao can get their parking tickets stamped at the Macao Blood Services reception counter after blood donation for 1 to 2 hours of free parking.
- No parking space is available for motorcycles in the car park.

Closed on public holidays - The blood donation vehicle will be parked at the following places for blood donation.
- On the first Tuesday of each month between 1pm and 6pm, at Rua do Dr. Pedro Jose Lobo (between Luso International Bank Building and The Macau Square).
- On the second Tuesday of each month between 1pm and 6pm, at Pedestrian zone next to Flower City Garden, Taipa.
- On the third Tuesday of each month between 1pm and 6pm, at Rua do General Ivens Ferraz (Opposite to Fai Chi Kei Health Centre).
- On the fourth Tuesday of each month between 1pm and 6pm, at Av. do Alm. Magalhaes Correia, Areia Preta (Pedestrian zone next to Macao Government Services Centre, Areia Preta).

Time required
- Blood donors will be received and registered in 5 minutes. (Performance pledge)
- The whole process from registration to the completion of blood donation will not take more than 60 minutes. (Note: donation by apheresis is not included.) (Performance pledge)
- Repeat blood donors may look up their blood donation report online within 7 to 10 working days if the report is normal. (Performance pledge)
- The blood donation reports for healthy blood donors will be mailed within 21 working days. (Performance pledge)
- Blood donors’ suggestions and complaints will be responded to within 5 working days (Performance pledge)
Conditions under which blood donation is not allowed
- Common reasons for temporary deferral of blood donation:
- Insufficient sleep the night before donating blood
- Having a cold or symptoms of influenza
- Have had dental treatment or oral surgery within the past 3 days
- Have taken antibiotics within the past 1 week
- Have had a tattoo or ear piercing within the past 12 months
- Have travelled to a dengue fever endemic region within the past 12 months
- Have undergone endoscopy within the past 4 months (such as endoscopy for the stomach, intestine or nasopharynx etc.)
- Do not donate blood if you belong to any of the following groups
- You are or your sexual partner is an HIV carrier
- You are a Hepatitis B virus or Hepatitis C virus carrier
- You have engaged in sexual service for money
- You have been addicted to intravenous drugs
- If you have had sexual relationship with the following personswithin the past 1 year, please do not donate blood
- Any person who has solicited male or female prostitutes
- Any person addicted to intravenous drugs
- Any person who has suspicion of HIV infection
- Any person who has had blood coagulation factors therapy
- Any man who has sex with another man; or a female whose male sex partner has had sex with other men
- Any person who has had multiple sexual partners within the past 1 year
Enquiring for and obtaining a blood donation report
During blood donation you may check a box and choose to receive your blood donation report by post; collect it yourself or look it up online.
