Application for using the services of Centre of Educational Resources

Service Description

Service Content:

Centre of Educational Resources (hereinafter called the Centre) is a service unit whose main missions are to provide auxiliary educational resources and enhance teaching effectiveness. It aims to provide good auxiliary pedagogical services to school teachers and educators of other institutions in Macao. Except for those who are exempted from application, other eligible persons may apply for use of the services of the Centre.

The Centre provides a variety of services, including:

  1. Providing the use of computer and audio-visual equipment, and the related technical support and consulting services;
  2. Providing materials and equipment for production of various teaching materials / teaching aids, technical support and consulting services for production;
  3. Navigation, lending and consulting services for teaching materials and multimedia materials;
  4. The loan of various auxiliary teaching equipment;
  5. Wireless broadband Internet service, and so on.

The Service Target Group and Application Eligibility:

  1. Holders of the following valid identification can enter the Centre by presenting their card at reception on the ground floor:
    1. The teaching staff card issued by Education and Youth Development Bureau (hereinafter called the DSEDJ) (including formal education, recurrent education and community education); new teaching staff who have not been issued with the teaching staff card can apply for using the services temporarily by filling in the application form.
    2. The educational institution staff card with the words “assisting teaching activities” or “special duty personnel” issued by the DSEDJ.
  2. The following persons need to fill in the application form and obtain approval from the Centre for using the services:
    1. Students studying education-related courses in higher education institutions in Macao; students holding a Macao Resident Identity Card and studying education-related courses outside Macao.
    2. Faculty members and researchers in higher education institutions in Macao.
    3. Persons who have worked as teaching staff in non-tertiary education schools in Macao, have relevant records in the DSEDJ or have submitted relevant certification. (Note: They only have access to the Educational Multimedia Area on the third floor and the Board Game Rooms on the fifth floor of the Centre).
    4. Personnel of social service institutions under or registered with the Social Welfare Bureau, serving ordinary school-aged children and adolescents or their peers with special educational needs (subsidised facilities and non-subsidised facilities affiliated to public interest corporations in the list of children and youth service facilities of the Social Welfare Bureau) can apply for use of the services of the Centre due to the needs of teaching work (7 people per institution).
    5. Current staff of the DSEDJ.
    6. Personnel related to school education work approved by the Director of the DSEDJ.

Service Results:

  1. Initial Application: 1 working day upon receipt of the completed application form and required documents. The applicant can use the services of the Centre by presenting the ID card.
  2. Renewal: The applicant will be notified of the result within 15 minutes upon receipt of the completed application form. The applicant can use the various services of the Centre by presenting the ID card.
  3. Update Information: The applicant will be notified of the result upon receipt of the completed application form and required documents within 15 minutes. The applicant can use the various services of the Centre by presenting the ID card.
