1. After submitting the application, how long do I have to wait for the therapy assessment?
A therapy assessment will be arranged for applicants within one and two months after receipt of all the required documents.
2. At what time will the therapy assessment take place? How long will it take?
The assessment will be conducted during office hours, i.e. Monday to Thursday: 09:00-13:00 / 14:30-17:45; Friday: 09:00-13:00 / 14:30-17:30; the assessment time varies from 1.5 to 2.5 hours according to individual student’s situation. If it is necessary, a Declaration for Attending Therapy Assessment will be issued upon the request of parents.
3. After the assessment, what follow-up will be provided for the student?
On the day of completion of the therapy assessment, the assessor will explain to the parents about their child’s performance and assessment results as well as provide recommendations for home training. Besides, a therapy assessment report will be issued to parents within 1 month. If the therapy assessment suggests that the child needs to receive regular speech and language, occupational or physical therapy, the Centre of Pyscho-Pedagogical Support and Special Education will refer the child to the funded schools or rehabilitation and counselling institutions that provide therapy / training services for regular follow-up therapy / training.
