Service Content:
Infant and Primary Education, Secondary Education, Recurrent Education:
Assist Macao residents who are in need of school admissions service as well as allocate school places for new immigrants and returnees.
Special Education:
Help to allocate school places for the school-age children and teenagers who have special educational needs.
The Service Target Group and Application Eligibility:
Infant and Primary Education, Secondary Education, Recurrent Education:
In accordance with the provisions of article 18 of Law No. 9/2006 – “The Fundamental Law of Non-Tertiary Education System”, to enroll in various levels of education, students must meet the age requirements as at 31st December of the year of enrollment; the requirements are listed below:
- Infant Education: having reached 3 years old;
- Primary Education: having reached 6 years old;
- Junior Secondary Education: primary graduates under the age of 18;
- Senior Secondary Education: junior secondary graduates under the age of 21;
- Recurrent Education: people reached 15 years old can enroll in recurrent primary education; primary graduates aged 16 can enroll in recurrent secondary education.
Special Education:
Provide school admissions service for people aged between 3 and 21 who are certified to have special educational needs after taking the educational placement assessment.
