Inspection of Seaman’s Registration Card


How to Apply

Time Limit for Application

Formalities and Required Documents

Applications should be made in person at the Marine and Water Bureau, with the submission of the followings:

  1. Application form for seaman’s registration card examination (format M2/DET); (the form can be obtained from the location for application)
  2. Employment certificate (format M5/DET); (the form can be obtained from the location for application)
  3. Work declaration form (format M6/DET); (the form can be obtained from the location for application)
  4. Photocopy of I.D. (original copy to be presented);
  5. Physical fitness certificate (format M7/DET) issued by Health Centre (if applicable); (the form can be obtained from the location for application)
  6. Copy of seaman registration card (original copy to be presented);
  7. Relevant documents should be attached, in case of amendment or update (original copy to be presented for verification)

Application Fees

Fees charged pursuant to the “General table of fees of the Marine and Water Bureau”.

Payment:

  • In person

Payment methods: by cash, cheque or electronic payment. (The cheque shall be made payable to “Direcção dos Serviços de Assuntos Marítimos e de Água”, and shall be a “certified cheque”, in compliance with Paragraph 3 of Article 5 of Administrative Regulation No.22/2008, of 4 August.)

  • Online payment

Anyone who is given the receipt number or payment QR code, can settle the payment via “Macao One Account”, “Business and Associations Platform” or the “Electronic Payment Services” within the “Maritime Electronic Services Platform” on the official website of the Marine and Water Bureau”.


Processing Time

Upon submission of all necessary documents, the processing time is 4 working days, following the day of application submission. (Performance Pledge)


Notes for Application

  • Seamen must come to the Marine and Water Bureau for the registration card examination every year.
  • A physical fitness certificate is valid for 2 years.
