How to Apply

Time Limit for Application

Pilotage services should be applied at least 48 hours in advance.

Formalities and Required Documents

Applicants can submit the following to the Marine and Water Bureau by post, fax or in person:

  1. Application form for pilotage (format P1/DET) (the form can be obtained from the location for application); or
  2. Application form for pilotage exemption certificate (format P2/DET) (according to Decree Law No.14/99/M, application has to be done to the Marine and Water Bureau in writing; the form can be obtained from the location for application);
  3. Application form for change of estimated time of commencement of the pilotage service (format P3/DET) (If necessary; the form can be obtained from the location for application).

Charges

Fees charged pursuant to the “General table of fees of the Marine and Water Bureau”.

Notes:

Shipping agent shall settle the payment at the Marine and Water Bureau after receiving the payment notice.

Payment methods: by cash, cheque or electronic payment. (The cheque shall be made payable to “Direcção dos Serviços de Assuntos Marítimos e de Água”, and shall be a “certified cheque”, in compliance with Paragraph 3 of Article 5 of Administrative Regulation No.22/2008, of 4 August.)

  • Online payment

Anyone who is given the receipt number or payment QR code, can settle the payment via “Macao One Account”, “Business and Associations Platform” or the “Electronic Payment Services” within the “Maritime Electronic Services Platform” on the official website of the Marine and Water Bureau”.


Processing Time

Application for Pilotage: Time for approval takes 2 working days.

Notes:

  • The Marine and Water Bureau will provide pilotage service at the applied time of port call after approval of application.
  • Provide 24 hours of pilotage service. (Performance Pledge)

Application for Pilotage Exemption Certificate: As the case may be.
