How to Apply

Time Limit for Application

N/A

Notes: For renewals, the applicant or his / her authorised person must apply to the Marine and Water Bureau in person 60 days prior to the expiry date of the licence.

Formalities and Required Documents

Applications should be made in person or by an authorised representative at the Marine and Water Bureau, with the submission of the followings:

  1. Notarised application form (format III2/DGP) signed by the applicant or authorised representative; (the form is provided by the Marine and Water Bureau);
  2. Photocopy of identification document (original copy to be presented for verification);
  3. Photocopy of the latest business registration certificate issued by the Commerce and Movable Property Registry in respect of its establishment, if the applicant is a juristic person (original copy to be presented for verification) (The applicant can request the Marine and Water Bureau to access the business registration certificate via the joint network established by the Legal Affairs Bureau in order to be exempted from submitting the concerned document);
  4. Photocopy of the proof of payment of industrial tax (M/8), issued by the Financial Services Bureau (if necessary) (original copy to be presented for verification);
  5. Photocopy of the administrative licence issued by Municipal Affairs Bureau(such as hawker licence, licence for food and beverage establishments etc.) (if applicable) (original copy to be presented for verification);
  6. Supporting documents stipulated in Article 134 of “Land Law” (such as the cadastre plan and the land use plan);
  7. Photocopy of provisional licence of occupation of last year (to be submitted for renewal) (original copy to be submitted for verification);
  8. Instructions for use within the occupied area;
  9. Certified copy of the authorisation letter, in case of authorisation;
  10. Photocopies of the lease contract and receipts of the latest 3 months (original copies to be presented for verification).

Notes:

  • Marine and Water Bureau will require the applicant to submit supplementary information on a case by case basis.
  • The applicant can submit the information which may facilitate the application.

Documents required to be processed / applied in advance:

  6. Certified copy of the authorisation letter, in case of authorisation.

Charges

Application Fees

Fees charged pursuant to the “General table of fees of the Marine and Water Bureau”.

Stamp Duty

Relevant stamp duty is levied in accordance with the “Stamp Duty Regulations” approved by Decree Law No. 17/88/M, of 27 June, republished by the Dispatch of the Chief Executive No. 218/2001.

Notes:

  • By cash or cheque.
  • When payment is made by cheque, remember to make the cheque payable to “Direcção dos Serviços de Assuntos Marítimos e de Água” and it must comply with Paragraph 3 of Article 5 of No.22/2008 Administrative Regulations, of 4 August, and must be a certified cheque.
