Maritime Rescue

Introduction

Upon picking up a distress signal, the Macao Vessel Traffic Control Centre will immediately notify all the relevant maritime search and rescue authorities and coordinators so that a rescue operation will be commenced.

Application Result

Call for life rescue (waters within the area of jurisdiction of Macao / Macao coastal area):
Call will be initiated within 5 minutes upon receipt of a verified notification.

Call for maritime emergency rescue:
Call will be initiated within 5 minutes upon receipt of a verified notification.

Life rescue (waters within the area of jurisdiction of Macao / Macao coastal area):
Personnel will be deployed within 30 minutes upon receipt of a verified call.

Maritime emergency rescue:
Personnel will be deployed within 30 minutes upon receipt of a verified call.
