Application Procedure
Target Groups and Application Eligibility:
Person who intends to obtain the Macao driving license
Required Document:
1.Fill in Mod. No. 1 – Application form for driving exam (available at the service counters of the Transport Bureau or download from the Transport Bureau website).
2.Original copy of the driver’s medical certificate.
3.One distinct photocopy of the valid Macao identity card or valid document for legal stay in Macao SAR.
4.Four 1.5 inches recent color photos (with white background).

Charges
Charges (or Taxes): In accordance with the Dispatch No. 525/2016 ratified by the Chief Executive, “The Tax Table, Tariff and Price List of the Transport Bureau” published on the Macao Government Official Gazette (Series I) on December 31, 2016.
Fee for the form: Free of charge
Stamp Duty: No stamp duty
Deposit: No deposit necessary
Remark
1.Application for driving exam must be stamped with the seal of the driving school and signed by the instructor; qualifications for applying the driving exam.
2.To obtain the relevant categories in the driving license, it is necessary to comply with the following conditions:
Light motorcycle, heavy motorcycle and light motor vehicle: 18 years old.
Heavy goods vehicle, heavy passenger vehicle and articulated vehicle or vehicle section: 21 years old.
3.The criteria for applying the exam for the categories of D1 and D2:
a) Applicant for D1 must hold a valid category of C, or have held a valid category of B for at least three years.
b) Applicant for D2 must have held a valid category of C for at least one year, or hold a valid category of D1.
4.A document for the insurance of the third party should be submitted by the applicant for the exam of light/heavy motorcycle when issuing learner driving license.
5.Students must have undertaken the stipulated lessons on driving theory or practical before they can take the exams.
6.Candidate who is absent from any exam can apply to retake the exam and pay the related fees within two years since the date he/ she has passed the latest exam, and that the exam which he/she has passed previously is still considered effective.
7.If the driver health medical certificate Is issued by the Health Bureau Health Center, the Worker’s Medical Clinic, Kiang Wu Hospital, University Hospital or Macau Yinkui Hospital, there is no need to submit the driver health medical certificate (hard copy).
