Application for driving exam – Exam for Special Driving Permit


Service Procedure

Target Groups and Application Eligibility:
Person who intends to obtain the special driving permit

Required Document:
1.Fill in Mod. No. 1 – Application form for driving exam (available at the service counters of the Transport Bureau or download from the Transport Bureau website).
2.Original copy of the driver’s medical certificate.
3.One distinct photocopy of the valid Macao identity card or valid document for legal stay in Macao SAR.
4.Four 1.5 inches recent color photos (with white background).
5.A distinct photocopy of the valid Chinese driving license or driving license of other country and region.

Document must be presented:
1.To show the valid Macao identity card or valid document for legal stay in Macao SAR.
2.To show the valid Chinese driving license or driving license of other country and region.

Charges

Charges (or Taxes): In accordance with the Dispatch No. 525/2016 ratified by the Chief Executive, “The Tax Table, Tariff and Price List of the Transport Bureau” published on the Macao Government Official Gazette (Series I) on December 31, 2016.
Fee for the form: Free of charge
Stamp Duty: No stamp duty
Deposit: No deposit necessary


Remark

1.The category which the applicant is applying must be the same or similar to that stated on his/her driving license. Applicant without the Macao SAR Resident Identity Card can only apply the exam for the categories of Light Motor Vehicle, Heavy Motorcylce and Light Motorcycle.
2.If the applicant’s driving license is not in Chinese, Portuguese, English or French, a translation with an official language of Macao SAR must be attached.
3.Holder of learner driving license can only drive on public roads designated for learning or exam and must be accompanied by the instructor or examiner.
4. If the driver health medical certificate Is issued by the Health Bureau Health Center, the Worker’s Medical Clinic, Kiang Wu Hospital, University Hospital or Macau Yinkui Hospital, there is no need to submit the driver health medical certificate (hard copy).
